Conducting Fellowship

Bandung Philharmonic supports generation of young orchestras in Indonesia to have the opportunity to lead and work with a professional orchestra. Selected fellow will be taught directly by Maestro Robert Nordling.





After concluding the Conducting Fellowship program, Bandung Philharmonic will select one of the participant to be Assistant Conductor for the on going season.


Wishnu Dewanta

Season 3 (2017-2018)

His interest and passion in music has ensured him to pursue music further and deeper. In 2012, He was accepted at Universitas Pelita Harapan Conservatory of Music, majoring in Music Composition under the guidance of Boby Limijaya and Antonius Priyanto. Not only in conservatory, He also did varied music-related activities outside school including creating a string chamber named Stringtronic (2012) and orchestra named Bellevoix Orchestra (2013)

Moreover, he took an important role as a music director and orchestrator in several Musicals: “The Chronicles of Pinocchio and Mulan” by Universitas Pelita Harapan Department of Art (2014); "Caspar" in collaboration with a German musical producer and director, Hermann Sattler (2017-2018); “Flower of Destiny” by PT. Puncak Keemasan Dunamis Indonesia (2018); and the latest “Asa dan Renjana” by PT. Bank Central Asia, Tbk.

Additionally, He also involved on writing the original soundtrack for a movie Galih dan Ratna (2017). In 2018, He was assigned as an Assistant Conductor of Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra under the guidance of its music director, Maestro Robert Nordling from Chicago, USA. In 2019, He was appointed as a chairman of performing arts foundation called Silanada. Besides being an active music composer, orchestrator, and conductor, since 2016, He works as a music arranger in an animation company studio.

Vincent Wiguna

Season 4 (2019-2020)

During his senior high school period, Vincent Wiguna who is currently studying International Relations in University of Indonesia got his initial experience in conducting. Back then, he was the leader of his school’s orchestra, Canisius Wind Ensemble (CWE), for two years. During this time, he had the pleasure of leading charity concerts in Tegal and Purwokerto, musical drama Newsies, and ultimately leading his orchestra to an overseas experience; they participated in a collaborative concert in Aulendorf, Germany.

Subsequent to his graduation from high school, Canisius College, he partook in conducting lessons under the guidance of Budi Utomo Prabowo, master-classes from Robert Lehrbaumer and also from Shiak Yao Lee. Since 2015, he also has been coaching Eliata Choir, under the guidance of soprano Renata Lim, and entrusted with the responsibility as assistant conductor for Jakarta City Philharmonic. Earlier in 2017, he was also assigned the position as the music director of a musical theater, The Threepenny Opera.
